What do you think are our chances of hosting an ncaa initial round. We probably are still the best soccer team in the south (florida may disagree with that but are they really in the south?). I just hope we beat colorado on sunday and take care of texas in austin on halloween.

our chances are still good. last year the teams there were us, texas, SMU and um, SWLouisiana? Somebody from LA. As long as we put up a good showing here on out, we should probably be able to host.

That would be great; especially with the great crowds we've been generating. Emma Smith towards the end was urging the crowd to cheer on more. With the big crowds and more cheers we should make a great site to host a regional tournament.

We'll need to play well to finish the regular season, and make a decent showing in the tournament. The NCAA already loves our attendance numbers...we just need to win.

Today would be a good place to start.

Great win here and I'm glad nebraska lost to texas. Now we need to finish the year right with a win over texas in austin and I agree a tournament win or close game in the championship will be absolutely necessary to host!

Play the NCAA games here in Klein at Meyer Park on field #4. Hell, with the seats that are brought in for big tournaments, the field can accomodate 4000+ spectators.

(Of course, I'm being selfish. Then I wouldn't have to drive to CS to watch.)

I hope we can host a regional. Some of the people I've talked to were doubtful but I would think with the great record we have we should have a shot.

If we can win the Big12 tourney and beat texas, I think we've got one. It always depends on the teams above us, but I think that it's still possible.

Does tu's loss to osu help our chances of getting a regional?

I think our chances are slimmer now since we've lost like 4 out of our last 5? Is that right? However, since texas lost maybe we'll get one? I guess we just have to wait and see now.

We may not even get a bid, as impossible as that sounds.

That would be awful if we didn't get a bid given our past success and the strength of our wins.

Surely we'll get a bid... We're still ranked in the top25. At the very least we'll make some sort of at-large bid.

We will get a bid. We were in the top 15 in all polls. However, we won't host.

Actually, I dont know if we will get a bid. I was sure earlier but now that I think about it, I am not as sure. We finished 4th in the conference and lost in the 1st round of the tournament. Colorado got an automatic bid for winning the conference and OSU got a bid from winning the tournament. That still leaves Nebraska and Texas without bids both of whom finished ahead of us and beat us late in the season. I think the NCAA will have a hard time giving 5 bids to one conference. Especially since the Big XII isn't considered a powerhouse in soccer like it is football. Last year only three teams made it: us, tu, and nu. I am still hoping our early showing will carry us but come to think of it, we really didn't beat a great team this year besides CO. Just my two cents...

Why the collapse? Have they been spending too much time with the football team?

I hope I'm wrong, but I've got a bad feeling this is going to be an absolute horrible year for the Aggies in all sports. I don't know if its just a severe hangover from football or what, but this sort of stuff is getting to where its ruining my days.

Please...somebody give me something to hope for!

We finished 5th in the conference and are probably behind not only CU and OSU but Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, and Missouri when it comes to NCAA invites. This is not the Aggie team of years past and hopefully, not a sign of things to come. Aggie offensive scheme became to predictable and a reluctance to change made for some unfortunate losses.

Give me a break regarding Missouri. The selection is based on more than putting together a little run at the end of the season. Our "RPI" is much higher than several of the schools you list.

Check number of quality wins: Kansas has defeated Florida St, Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan and Oklahoma St. Missouri has beaten Purdue, California, TAMU, Colorado and Nebraska. Don't agree that our RPI is better than these two. Hope Aggie's can ride on past reputation.

Dont believe conference gets an automatic bid - only the playoff champ gets an automatic. all our losses were in overtime - unusual- but indicative of a young team ( only one senior).

The two fish forwards did not score much towards the end of the season.

What time are the bids released?

Bids are made public at 3:00 pm. Let's hope that the Aggies are included.

I don't want to be selfish but I hope if we win we'll be able to host the next weekend; if we get beyond that I think we'll have to go to california vs. one of the california teams.

Lets try to keep home field advantage as long as possible AND support our girls!!
