If you go straight off descending order lists and combining participants of both regionals, I have the Aggie men as favorites to win the national championship. If they have a good regional, I think they will have a good shot.

LSU will have a shot because of how top heavy they are.

On the women's side, I see Arkansas and Kentucky fighting it out with Texas and Oregon right there. A&M women could have a good showing at nationals also.

Is Sparling injured? Just wondering. She could have qualified. She is one of the fastest this season in 100m and 200m and a key member of the relay

Great to have 3 women qualify in 100m and Javelin

Missed Kyriazis and Sam Hardin qualifying in the Javelin. Hardin has really improved - he nearly threw 235' yesterday.

Shelbi also qualified in the Discus this morning.

Running events will start shortly.

Thanks for all of these updates!

How do you feel about the Ags' chances for national championships?

I accidently closed my tab and my original response with it. :-(

Without looking at all the qualifiers, I think we have a really good chance at the men's title and the women should place well but I think Arkansas wins the women's title. The men are so well balanced I can see them getting 20 points on the track, 20 in the jumps, 20 in the throws/multis, and 10 in the relays - 70 points would be tough to beat especially since Oregon isn't going to get 20+ points in both the 5K and 10K this year.

The women will place well because I see Shelbi, Shamier, and Maggie winning. Audrey and Annie will probably score points for us. I see midpack results for the relays. Let's say that gets us to 45 points. We're going to need our sprint crew to outperform their performances this year to have a chance. Scott of Ark will probably double in the 5k and 10k, Kamilos and Clark look good in the steeple, Ellis-Watson will finish 2nd or 3rd, and then Ark PV crew can score major points.

I think the team did exceptionally well at Regionals.
I think could have had about three or four more qualifiers to Eugene

Audie Watt who has been the most consistent of all the vaulters this season
Elijah Morrow in the 200m was ranked 10th with a time of 20.61. If he had run this time he would had made it to Eugene
Krystal Sparling if she was not scratched would have made it in the 100m and 200m. She has been one of our better sprinters this season. Going into regionals she was 8th ranked in 100m and 12th ranked in the 200m. She was the Aggies highest ranked female sprinter. If she is injured I hope she at least recover in time to help the relays team. If not, looking forward to great sophomore year from her
Kristen Clark Based on the seeding going into regionals she was ranked 14th with a best of 50.38m. If she had thrown around 50m she would have made. Also Krystyn Bradley with a seed mark of 49.86m could have made it if she had thrown a similar distance.

Other than that, I think the team did exceptional given that some of them was not seeded in the top 12 going into regionals but yet made it and also given that fact that all first round races were cancelled and had to rely on one race to make it to NCAA. These include
Aaliyah Brown and Brenessa Thompson was ranked 17th and 18th in the 200m before Regionals and made it to NCAA. Jennifer Madu and Aaliyah Brown was ranked 14th and 17th in the 100m going into regionals and made it. Katie Willard was ranked 16th in the 800m and qualified. Jeffrey Prothro was ranked 19th in the Triple jump but made it
I think going into the Championship we need the Aggies to be consistent and continue to improve with every meet. The men might have a better chance than the women to win the championship but if the women sprinters continue to improve we could pick up extra points from sprints to go with the main scorers in Shelbi Vaughn, Maggie Malone and Shamier Little.
I was impressed with Arkansas men sprint qualifiers. Jarion Lawson known for his long jumping, has also qualified in the 100m and 200m. Looking for Arkansas men as well

Just mentioning that former Aggies Aldrich Bailey did not make it to NCAA in the 400m nor did his team 4x400m relay. His 4x100 relay team did make though. Sierra Patrick did not make it to Regional and Ashtin Zamzow made it to NCAA in the heptathlon.

Oregon Junior Jasmine did not start in the 100m or the long jump. She ended her career at Oregon abruptly. This can affect Oregon chances with the relay and team title but the Ducks still have many potential scorers in sprint and mid distance races. Hannah Cunliffe did not qualify for the 200m.

In the East Regional qualifiers Kentucky and LSU dominated qualifying on the women side. In some cases Kentucky had 4 qualifiers in 1 event. Kyra Jefferson of Florida did not make the 200m. LSU men did very well on men side and would definitely be a treat.
