I imagine they're still finalizing the outdoor schedule as they expected to host an outdoor meet this season. I'll update when it's available.

We have a LOT of home indoor meets and some damn good ones. Would really be nice to market our team/facility more to get more Aggie fans involved. Anybody in the building last March saw just how fun meets can be.

Where are they going to host outdoors? Not done til next fall, right?

Hopefully will be in new facility around this time next year.

Sorry, I'm meant they probably expected to host a meet, but since the stadium won't be ready they'll need to find a meet to go to.

We only go out west twice this year replacing that 2nd ASU meet with a meet at UH. Looks like the SEC Relays are no more - promising idea, but it's a shame they couldn't try it a second year.

I haven't received mine yet. I've been meaning to call and ask about it.

Just called the TMF and the lady said they are working on finalizing the renewals and pricing. It should be sent out in November.

Ashley Shidler (979-260-7934) at the 12th man Foundation is coordinating the 2017/2018 Indoor Track Season ticket renewals. It is my understanding the ticket renewals were being mailed either last Friday or early this week. When you receive your renewal application, please note the season ticket package does not include the SEC or NCAA Championship meets. There is a separate section on the form to order tickets for these two meets.

Remember picking my seat during the Miss St game last year; knew we had to be close to renewal after another loss to them.

It was nice sitting in my same seat for the NCAAs, but I can see how it is easier for the ticket office to separate SEC/NCAA champ sales from the season tickets to ensure all seats are sold.

Just got home and found my renewal in the mail.

Heat sheets up. Leo M is running as is young Mr. Brazier.

Samantha Watson sets new school record in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:42.12 breaking Jazmine Fray's record of 2:43.15.

Saw some fast folks out there today!

Brazier dropped a sub 4 minute mile which included a 54 second last 400.

...then ran a 46.00 relay split less than two hours later. That kid is a freak.

He (Brazier) almost makes it look easy. Very "pretty" runner. (I should probably change that to "smooth", but he has that undefinable you know it when you see it fast) Very talented, too.

I thought the women looked really good on the 4x4 with 9 girls running 55s or better. Also, 4 men ran 46s on the relay with Rose and Dixon capable of doing so. Comick looked pretty good in his 200. I'm interested in seeing his progression this year. Cragin looked confident jumping and Gittens impressed as well.

Did not get a lot of good photos. I was trying different autofocus and image settings during the meet.

Totally impressed with Gittens. She won the 60 hurdles out of the slow heat -- and that was the first time she had ever run that race before! Then tossed in a near 5-11 to easily win in the HJ later on.

The additions of Watson and Gittens make this women's team markedly better than last year, especially indoors. This team will will be exciting to watch.

Izu has taken his 400 to another level. He looked terrific leading off the 4x400. Nice to have another name to help fill the void left by big Fred. Awesome to see Cragin, Riba and Wooten in mid-year form too.

Lots of people missing that will add to the good things we've already seen this weekend. Can't wait!

Tyra Gittens could really do well this year and possible challenge the A&M Pentathlon record of 4363 points. Based on her 8.51 in hurdles, 1.79m in high jump, her PB in long jump 6.38m, her PB in shot put 12.12m and if she can run at least 2.30.00 in the 800m she will score 4309 points which is amazing for a freshman. I expect as the season goes along she will improve in every event. She cleared all height up 1.79m without a miss.

I really think the women have a shot at an indoor title. Sammy Watson and Jazmine Fray can give points in the 800m and then team up in the distance medley relay to give us additional points. i think we would break the A&M medley relay record. We need someone running the 1200m leg, Jazmine on the 800m leg, Jaevein reed on the 400m and Sammy on the 1600m. We can certainly compete with any team.

I would have Jazmine run the 1200 leg and Brittany Parker run the 800. We really don't have many people that can keep it close on the 2 important legs.

Ms. Sammy Watson made the Bowerman preseason watch list, continuing the superlatives attributed to the program. Keep on keeping on!

I wonder if we'll see any new Aggie competitors (JC transfers and "new additions") at this weekend's meet. Anyone hear anything about new team members?

Who was the anchor leg for Flight400's 4x400 team that ran 45.61 last weekend at the High School Classic?

Brian Herron out of Goergia ran a 45.61 split but his team was disqualified. He also ran 21.06 in the 200m prelim

Hopefully he enjoyed running at our track and does not end up at Florida or Bama.

He was able to get them the short lived meet record before the DQ. Smoothly pulled away from everyone else in that heat.

Joining Ms. Watson for the Bowerman Award preseason watch list but for the mens' side is Mr. Ioannis Kyriazis. Congratulations! Work hard and good luck to both!

Ted Nelson Invitational begins tomorrow. Smaller schools on Friday plus DMRs & 5000 at twilight. Larger schools (incl A&M) on Saturday. Good luck to all for a great meet.
