COACH G'S COMMENTS ON THE 2004 SIGNING CLASS: "This is a fantastic class! Each of the players in this signing class are winners, leaders, and outstanding young ladies. They - when combined with the returning players already at Texas A&M - will help to complete one of the deepest and most talented rosters we've seen in Aggieland in years. When you look at the fact that the 11th-ranked team in America is replacing it's lone senior (Kristen Strutz) with a class that includes no less than six NSCAA All-Americans, I think it could strike a collective ‘uh-oh’ from many of our opponents. It should also ignite a lot of excitement from our supporters.

"I am sure that many people out there will classify this year's signing class as among the best in the nation and one of the best we've had in our 11-year history at Texas A&M. The success of this class will of course be judged in the years to come and in the accomplishments our program attains during their careers in Aggieland. At A&M we talk about Building Champions. Our coaching staff can't wait to get this team on the field to start winning more soccer championships."

Wow! All-Americans, All-England, from all over the country, a valedictorian, and another Jacob Green daughter!!!!

They all look like they're ready to contribute, too. Can hardly wait!

Welcome to Aggieland, ladies! Gig 'em!

I'm not into college football (soccer) at all, but thought I would give you lot this bit of info on the Brit girl, straight from the England Football Association...

JULIE SPEARINK
Club: Southampton Saints

Julie grew up in California, but her parents are English which makes her eligible to play for England and join the development centre. She started playing the game at the age of three and was playing for San Ramon Impact Under-19s before she left the USA. She was spotted playing in the US by a scout who recommended her to Arsenal (the scum) for a trial, from which she was recommended to England. Julie played for Loughborough Students at the start of the season, before moving to Southampton Saints.

'It's been......emotional'.

Ollie, I was posting that on the General board while you were posting that here. You barely beat me.

It looks like a very good recruiting class that will complement the returning team. There were only a couple of weak spots on the team last year so I look for a bright future for the Ags.

Every one of these girls was on an ODP team (which I think stands for Olympic Development Program). I am really excited about next year!

It wasn't sarcasm -- I just didn't know. Just hope these recruits can convert from high school soccer to NCAA Division I soccer -- it's certainly a different level and not all players can successfully make the switch -- even though they look good on paper.

Yes, it means National Championship and I wasn't kidding. This is the kind of class of players that might finally put us in a position, along with the current players, to actually win an "NC" in the next two years. I honestly think they have a great shot at doing so now.
