The men's rugby team defeated OU today at the Polo Fields by a 17-10 score. The Ags were down 10-0 at one point and held off OU at the tryline when the ref blew the whistle for full time.

A&M will play in Dallas in two weeks at the West Final Four.

Well ... I guess its good that the Ags can beat OU at something.

This puts A&M in the Westerns final 4. Currently the schedule is to play Colorado at 12pm at LAke Highlands Park in Dallas on 3 April. The winner will play the winner of Air Force (defending National Champion) vs Wyoming on Sunday 4 Apr.

Just checking out the USA Rugby site. Looks like the West will have 2 slots reserved into the National "Sweet 16" again this year. So, A&M only will need to finish first or second in Westerns to guarantee a 2nd consecutive trip to the Sweet 16, but I'm greedy. Let's finally wrest the West title from Air Force.

Is Craun Fansler still the Head Coach at Air Force? I know he has been coach of the combined services team for quite a while. He's a good guy, and coached the team I started at Hill AFB in Utah a few years back.

Yeah, the west set up is better this year than last year. Last year, the guys had to play two games on one day, then come back the next for the west final. This year, the Ags have to play more games, but at least there is no playoffs on the same day.
