Our two senior ladies are going to have to start playing some tennis if we are to have a chance in the finals.

The key in both matches is going to be doubles. The women won the doubles point last match, but couldn't close out a 3rd singles match for the win. The guys absolutely need to get the decisive doubles point as Baylor's entire lineup is loaded.

If we do not win the doubles point, we have no chance to beat Baylor and probably no chance to beat the sips.

Baylor has an awesome team. They play two seniors but their top two players are juniors.

Texas has two freshmen and four sophomores. For us to win, our seniors must beat their youngsters.

Well the guys lost the doubles point. #2 and #3 both lost 8-5. Lester and Ante were up 7-6 when their match was halted.

The girls won at #3 doubles 8-1 and lost #1 doubles 8-3. #2 doubles was up 7-5, but it is now 7-7. They need to pull it out.

So the girls went from up 7-5, to losing 4 straight games and the doubles point. Sweet.

The women have to win Courts 2, 4, 5, & 6 to win the match because the seniors will lose on Courts 1 & 3.

This is a really exciting match. Hopefully this type of competition will prepare us for the NCAA tournament.

It's down to Helga's third set. She just tied it at 3 all. Come on Ags!

Man I wish I was there. It's just as intense as the match against the t-sips for the big 12 championship. Let's just hope it goes the other way.

Yes, I was wrong.

My prediction for our women was not entirely correct. Our seniors split.

Roberta easily lost in straight sets (6-4, 6-1) on Court #3. However, Jessica on Court #1, rebounded from losing her first set, to win two straight sets to win her match (2-6, 6-2, 6-4). Jessica gave us a fighting chance to win the tournament.

If Helga can win on Court #2, we will win the tournament.

Ag women win the title! I think this is the first Aggie title in the big 12 in any sport this school year. Is that right?

Dr Lou, yes, Helga was down 3-1, so, even though we clutched defeat from the jaws of victory in the doubles, apparently we were able to reverse the trend and take the win.
