We won the doubles point and Wooten, Matijevic, and Cook won their singles matches. Joelson almost got the win to close it out, but Cook beat him to it.

On to the round of 32. We will probably be playing Virginia Commonwealth (the #13 national seed) on Saturday at Noon on their home court.

Good start. Tomorrow will be a good match. A win would certainly be a big boost for this team.

Yes a very good start today and getting the doubles point proved to be too much for the Tide. I think the doubles point against VCU is big as well. It sets the tone for the rest of the match. The doubles winner feels like they have the lead and can play with less pressure, while giving up the doubles point makes the margin for error less.

VCU has the home court advantage, but the Aggies have played big matches on the road this season so that should help. Pressure is on VCU to win because of the home court. The Ags should come to the court with an us against the world mentality.

My prediction: Aggies win it 4-2
