probably will not win the EPL this year. Too many injuries to start the season. I think Chelsea takes them out in the first game. Of course I hope not but it does not look good.

Arsenal is going to lose Viera at the end of the week but it appears that won't matter. Arsenal is going to repeat with Chelsea probably coming in second. With an improved Liverpool situation (maybe not....we'll know later in the week if Owens is gone), it looks like my lads are going to come in 4th.

Michael Owens was left on the bench for a qualifier today. Looks like he is gone from Liverpool and will be heading for Real Madrid. That might move my lads up a spot.

Is Rooney staying with Everton? I thought he might make a move, but I thought Everton made him a good offer to stay.

Owen didn't seem very impressive at Euro 2004. I'm a little surprised RM would want him.

Manu is probably looking at third place finish again. It gets frustrating watching your team bounce around below the obvious leaders. Finally, Chelsea is a real threat to win out.

Everton did not make a good enough move for Ronney. He will leave in the January trransfer window.

That kinda sucks about Rooney. I don't necessarily care for Everton, but it was cool that an up-and-coming player stayed with his current club. I knew that would probably change eventually.

i agree. but look out for Reyes too. he was pretty impressive in the community shield match.

Reyes is still too young to bank on. Just like I am not going to say Ronaldo is going to carry ManU. With that said Arsenal is still too loaded to take out. That hurts to say because I can't stand them.

i agree Reyes is young. and Ronaldo still has a lot of learning to do.

you're right that Arsenal will be tough this season...but unlike you, i don't mind since they're my team. but i'm also going to enjoy watching Chelsea fight for the top too. Newcastle should also be in the hunt if Shearer has another great season.

I'd rather see Arsenal than Chelsea win. I'm still pullin' for the Mancs though.

Newcastle is actually probably going to slip a notch. There are some problems up there.

I really think Chelsea have a shot. And if not this year, they will win out next year.

Well, looks like that one is dead. They played Morientes yesterday so his transfer value just dropped.

Chelsea starts the season with 3 points after beating Manu 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. It might have been an ugly win, but it's still 3 points.


Stand up, if you hate Manu ...

In reading the match report about the game ManU had about 70% of the possession but Chelsea was just too much quality. ManU could never mount a serious threat to the Chelsea defense. Just too much quality.

HOWEVER, the next encounter will see a fully healthy ManU team.
