Is Shuon Madden entered in a tournement in the College Station area this week that is to be his pro debut? I thought I remembered reading a month or so ago about a features tourney that was to be in town and he was going to play in it. Anyone have any info about this or how he is doing?

Shuon is scheduled to play in the CS chanllenger that starts this week-end. I talked with him last week and he is pleased with the way things are progressing.

I really don't know, but I will find out and post it.

The qualifying rounds start on Saturday, September 25 at 9:00 am at Pebble Creek Country Club. I am told Shuon will play Saturday, but I have not been able to nail down the exact time of his match. More to follow as information becomes available.

Shuon will play Saturday am between 9 and 12. The final time will not be determined until tomorrow night.

Too bad, I guess that means Cass was not able to get him another year of elibibility.

Former Aggies Ryan Newport, Keith From and Lester Cook are in the draw also.

Current Aggies Jerry Makowski and John Nallon also got wild cards. If Shoun and John win a couple of matches they could play each other. That is not likley, but who knows. Shoun and John have been praticing and playing each other for several weeks here at Aggieland.

After a late start it looks like Shuon will play later this afternoon. Ryan and Keith both won their first match. Lester and Jerry are on the court now. John and Shuon are later.
