I saw the score and read the report (didn't get to go to the game). What is a fan's take on the loss? How was the goal scored? Did we really dominate the game?

The game was pretty evenly matched. UCLA goal was a quality shot from a non challenged player that beat KJ cleanly. Echavarry hit the cross bar in 1st half which was our best chance. Aggies seem to lack the toughness that a final four team or Big 12 conference championship team needs. Hope they find it.

My take is that the Aggies no longer play much possession soccer, and the result is a game of kick-ball. When the Ags needed to score in the last 10 minutes of the game, all the defense did was head the ball out of bounds or kick it out of the stadium. Too much time was wasted.

Looked to me we just came out flat and never got a good rythem. We had plenty of shots just could not finish them. It was hot, very hot. I did think there was a few offsides calls that went against us. It looked to me we were trying to play the ball but got called for the offsides. I am not a ref so i could be wrong. I look for us to bounce back this weekend. The weather should be cooler and Coach G will have let the ladies hear it this week. See yall in Waco, me and some friends are taking a mini road trip for the game Saturday. Proud Aggie Soccer Hooligan WHOOP!

we out shot-on-goal-ed UCLA 12-8, but their goalie was always well positioned to defend-- In the first 10 minutes of the game we had about half a dozen shots that kind of missed one way and barley missed another way-- The only difference of the game was that UCLA capitalized on their opportunities and we didnt-- Hope to see y'all in Waco on Friday

No lame excuses. We darn well should be better acclimated to the heat than UCLA. They were at the same disadvantage as us.

We just didn't capitilize. We had a few great chances in the first half, especially off corner kicks. I remember watching two headers off corners just go up and over the goal, those could have made all the difference. We'll bounce back.

The only really bright spot was that it was a non-conference game. There's still plenty of season left.

texasaggie04...I am sure you attended the game correct? I should be used to the heat also, and I was tuckered after just standing and yelling I was not even running, jumping, and kicking. I still say it was hot, very hot.

Two good teams. UCLA got the break that scored the only goal.

After the match, the UCLA coach talked about the same thing happening at UCLA two years ago. When two top teams face off, sometimes only one or two small breaks seem to affect the game. UCLA missed a great opportunity early in the match, and somebody (Krambeer?) beat the UCLA keeper by heading the ball past her, but the A&M player was a little too far away from the goal to get the ball in the net and it went wide. Echavarry's shot hit the post. So there were a couple of good chances for both sides.

I was at the game. It was hot. But it was hot for both teams. We didn't lose because it was hot.

The UCLA game two years ago is one of my favorite all time. That's the game where we were outshot 20-0 but we won in penalty kicks. That game was probably the one that solidified how good KJ Spisak really is. It was in the Sweet 16, if I'm not mistaken.

Anybody know if I can find that 12th man video that they play during football games that has KJ rejecting some shot and some football highlights online somewhere?

I think it's one of the most effective pump-up type videos I've ever seen.

Thanks
