He'd actually have to play in order to consistently dominate. It's like saying Grant Hill was a world class basketball player from 99-03. He could have been, as he was talented as hell, but he wasn't because he never played. He has world class ability but that isn't the same as being a world class player...although I see your side as well.
That was Mexico's first win ever in that stadium. Hard to believe. Personally, since the first three qualify automatically for the WC, I don't think we should have too much trouble (knock on wood) however, finishing first as opposed to third would make the group stage easier. I found the US' all-time record againse Mexico in Mexico. 0-21-1 with an 0-17-1 record in Mexico City and an 0-7-1 record in Estadio Azteca. If we win there in March, it would be the biggest win in US Soccer history IMO, but I'm not holding out much hope.
