Anybody watching the game on TV?

If you are, updates would be appreciated as Matchtracker is down, I'm at work, and the play-by-play they have instead is about 10 minutes behind.

So far all I know is Eddie Johnson has scored (again) to put the US up 1-0.

Eddie Lewis put one in from about 20. Its now 2-0 USA in the 78 minute...

Let me get this straight. I can get up to the minute live commentary of the England-Netherlands friendly off Soccernet but I can't find a reliable method of getting updates from Trinidad? Matchtracker is down and the "up to the minute" updates in its place is updated every 25 minutes...10 minutes late.

Oh the crap an Amercian soccer fan goes through...

Brutal, huh... Well, T&T got one late.. USA 2-1 victory.. Keller had a nice game..

Good game overall. 2-0 would have been nice but any road win is a good win, especially at this level. It'll be interesting to see the highlights on FSW tonight to see how the game played out. Next up, Mexico on March 27th.

Good to hear that the US had most of the play although it seems like Keller produced some great saves as well.

If the US beats Mexico, I'll do what this guy did.

Thanks to 12thman, I've been able to share that story with friends and enjoy the look on their face.

It was too bad that it wasn't 2-0 but an away win is a win. 3pts for the US this early is huge!

Come on guys, the T&T team got a goal in the 89th minute. We dominated this team w/ our two world-class players injured(John O'Brien and Claudio Reyna). Once these two guys are playing regularly and in our starting line-up we'll be unstoppable in CONCACAF and we'll be a force in Germany '06. BTW anyone going to Germany? I definitely am, there's 4 venues near where I'm stationed.

I'm in the process of filling my application for tickets in April's lottery. I just have to decide how far I think the US will go.

Oh and not to be nit picky, but I don't think you can call John O'Brien a world class player. He could be if he was ever healthy but the guy essentially hasn't played in two years...which is a shame because he could be the next Claudio Reyna.

I think you could call John a world class player. I know he is injured a lot but that doesn't mean he isn't absolutely great. As for Reyna, I think he will be a sub by '06. We have so much young talent coming through. Reyna will make the team, I just don't think he will start. He is getting a bit old to be playing the center.

Mexico beat Costa Rica 2-1 in CR. I'm not much of a fan of CR but they are going to be one of our primary contenders. Hopefully that will make our job easier.

He'd actually have to play in order to consistently dominate. It's like saying Grant Hill was a world class basketball player from 99-03. He could have been, as he was talented as hell, but he wasn't because he never played. He has world class ability but that isn't the same as being a world class player...although I see your side as well.

That was Mexico's first win ever in that stadium. Hard to believe. Personally, since the first three qualify automatically for the WC, I don't think we should have too much trouble (knock on wood) however, finishing first as opposed to third would make the group stage easier. I found the US' all-time record againse Mexico in Mexico. 0-21-1 with an 0-17-1 record in Mexico City and an 0-7-1 record in Estadio Azteca. If we win there in March, it would be the biggest win in US Soccer history IMO, but I'm not holding out much hope.

I'm sure you watched WC2002, and when you did you should have seen O'Brien and Reyna as the class of the US. Yes, O'Brien is often injured, but the word is is that he's getting healthy has played in a couple of reserve matches and is set to start playing for Ajax's first team. He and Reyna are the only two US players I've seen that don't disappear in any matches. I understand why some people don't see Reyna as a starter if they don't have a keen eye for the game, but when he's on the field he controls the game better than any other US player, maybe with the exception of O'Brien. Reyna will captain the US team in WC2006.

Just a question wondering if anybody on here knows. After the last WC i expected Sanneh to be a fixture in the back line, why has he rarely played with the national team?

Sanneh was hurt for awhile. Now, I guess he's just been outplayed by Pope, Bocanegra, and others.

As 1 said he's been hurt, but I also get the feeling that some younger guys have pushed him out of the roster. I personally don't think he can keep up with the speedy youngsters at the international level anymore.

To reiterate, the injury made things tough for him as he missed a large amount of time. I think he could still contribute though if he gets the chance. If I'm not mistaken, he can play on the right and while I like Cherundulo what has done back there, he can take Hejduk's place on the roster any day at it would be fine with me.
