A&M and UVA square off in a big tennis match tomorrow at 5:00 pm at the Mitchell tennis complex. This should be one of the best matches of the year as UVA is currently ranked number two in the nation. I realize that many students will have already left for spring break, but in anyone is in the area on Friday afternoon, the mens team could really use the support in this big match.

i will miss both the uva and duke matches for my grandparents' 50th anniversary party up in nebraska. i've missed maybe 5 home matches in the last 4 years, and now i gotta miss 2 of the biggest matches of the year all in one weekend. NOT happy about that.

Driving in from Austin to check out the match...should be a good one!

1-1 after Va wins singles at #4.

It's incredible that we won the doubles point. Va won at #2 and we were down 6-7 at 1 & 3. Nice come back. Hope we can take advantage of it.

#2 Virginia wins 4-3 and the officials should be embarassed for deciding a matchup of two good teams instead of it being decided on the court.

With A&M leading 3-2 in the match, an official defalted A&M’s Mohamed Dakki after an exchange during a change over with the Virginia player and awarded the contest to Virginia. The two were on serve in the 3rd set.

Tim Cass said "I don’t know for sure what happened, but I’m disappointed that we had to give them a point at 2-1 in the third.”

The default tied the match at 3.

Ante came back from a break down in the 3rd to tie it the final match, but lost a tiebreaker to give Virginia the 4-3 win.

Virginia came down to Texas to play some tennis. What a joke. Let the players decide it ON THE COURT.

What an absolutely great match. I did not see what happened on Court 5, but I talked to both players and coaches, and it seems very odd that it happened. It certainly hurt our chances, but the match still came down to court one. It is very odd to see a college match come down to a tie breaker on court one. In any event, we have Duke on Monday and we really need to step up and make something happen.

Supposedly C-Mo on court 5, had 3 strikes against him. Meaning he cursed,threw his racquet, or made a taunting gesture to the other player 3 times. On your 3rd "foul" you forefit the match.

1st foul- lost point
2nd foul- game
3rd foul- match

I believe this is correct, from what i know, and talked about to others.

I think Ante would of pulled out the victory if he wouldn't of injured his knee again.
