OK, I know what Match play is and I know how one wins, but what does "Tiger Woods won over AggieLawyer 6 and 5" mean?

I've heard, like 3 and 2, etc. Explanation helpful.

It means that Tiger has a 6-hole advantage with only 5 holes left to play. You cannot catch him; therefore, the match is over.

I wouldn't assume anyone's golf game. A friend of mine's dad is scratch, 5 foot 7, and drives 300 plus with an effortless swing.

As far as me, I'll take on just about anyone in a contest of shots from the sticks, since I'm there so often!

Golf tournament question?

Have any of you guys played in the Coach Fran charities tourney at Miramont? If so what is the the price and what celebs/ex players play?

Since I am not wealthy enough to join Miramont, playing in his tourney may be the only way I get to play this gem of a course.
