Liverpool has just beaten Juventus 2-1 on aggregate after holding Juve to a 0-0 draw. Now if they can get out of Turin alive (they already are reports of riots outside the stadium and burning cars...and that was before the match) they'll play Chelsea in the semis in what is going to be a great mathcup for Engligh football. If Liverpool get healthy, they can give Chelsea a run for their money.

Of course this means that I'll either see Lampard/Cole/Terry or Gerrard in Chicago as the CL Finals conflict with the US/England friendly.

The fans over there are absolutely nuts. I guess that's what happens when one sport is so dominate in a country. The people only have one team to root for and the invest way to much into it. At least that's the impression I get.

Chelsea has the talent to beat Liverpool, but I have to admit Liverpool's defense was stout today. I figured they would have to score at least one goal to stay in it, but they held Juventus scoreless. Both teams had some great chances, though.
