While that is an unusually large number of foreign players it is not precedent setting. Many schools depend on global talent to fill their teams.

With that said, the real issue is who they are more than where they are from. It seems that the debate gets confusing when it comes to Baylor. For example, Ole Miss has a squad full of players from all over however there has never been a case that they have a team full of professional player like the Bears do at one and two. Dorsch and Becker both got under the radar and I dont see it happening again. The new twenty year old rule is a good start however when you have someone like knoll who has done and will do just about anything to win including the importation of guys who have no business in college tennis then that changes things. It causes a chain reaction, in which others of similar slithering character try to emulate. Fortunatly , dorsch and becker are finished after this season and the playing field will get more level even though they still have very good players.

Texas Tech's #1 singles guy is just a terrific player who started at Tech then went pro and now returned for one semester and will be leaving with a year of eligibility left. Don't look for this kind of situation to happen again.

The Southwest is just loaded with good tennis teams. The Evil Empire at #1...Tech in the top ten...ATM and OSU both in the top 15....ATMCC at 20...Rice and TCU have been all over the top 30 or so teams. Texas is in the thirties but they have a very talented and young team that has lost some very close matches to top 5 teams and someone I know told me the other night that UT played a very tough match vs the Bears. Even OU has their best team ever. They beat Texas for the first time ever in the history of the matchup and took ATM to a 4-3. There are no days off in the Big 12. Colorado almost beat OSU earlier this season and Nebraska has some players.

There is no place tougher than the State of Texas and the Big 12.

Professional players? The NCAA would never allow it.

Sic em your reply is predictable and understandable. I mean really what can we expect...Waco can do that to you.

Rickochet,

Until you offer ANY evidence of your claims, you have NO credibility.
