sucks......they need to get the goalie lessons on how to block kicks. He has 0 intuition, which is weird because he's always in position during regular play. I think it's becuase he's smart and knows where to be based on what's developing (it's a discipline) as opposed to this which is purely a guess. He sucks though since he shows where he is guessing before the kick.

You ovbiously have never played serious soccer, otherwise you would have never said what you just said.

#1. No goalie could have stoped any of those penalty kicks today. The Argentinians are masters at penalty kicks, as shown today.

#2 That goalie you called bad on penalty kicks, is a stud of a goalie.

#3 Knowing how good they are at penaly kicks, your only choice is to guess or try to make them guess to which side you are going to go.
But then again, all of the penalty kicks were impossible to stop today, that is not the case most of the times.

Overall, it was a good game. Mexico again played a good game and has come a long way since the early days of Lavolpe managing the team. If they play like this in the World Cup, they are going to go far.

On avg, the goalie has a 1/10 chance of stopping a pk (at any level).

That's why Friedel's performance during the last world cup was considered so studly. He's a freakin' pimp.

Speaking as someone who used to be the "PK taker" if Im on my game the goalie has no chance to save it unless he is standing there before I shoot. If you can have power and placement, the keep has no shot...side netting is unstoppable.
