That "new girl" is a veteran who was a staple on the national team and part of the 1999 World Cup team under DiCicco. She's just now getting back to being on the National Team, now that Heinrichs is gone. For whatever reason, Heinrichs never gave her a chance(my theory, being a UF grad, Heinrichs was pissed at her for scoring the game winning goal in the NCAA championships in 1998 to beat UNC).

All Fotopoulos has done in her career is lead the NCAA in all time scoring, led Florida to the 1998 NCAA title and led her WUSA team to the Founders Cup championship. She is a pure goal scorer and I'm glad Ryan has given her and Millie a 2nd chance to show what they have.
