Just to let everyone know, the volleyball team won last night against Sam Houston. They are now 6-0. They beat Sam Houston 3-1.

Some huge matches this weekend for the ladies in San Antonio. Today (Friday) at 4:30 vs. #6 Florida, tomorrow at 11AM vs LSU, and Sunday at 1PM vs. #8 USC.

Get out to the Alamodome to support them if you're in the area.

A win or strong showing against Florida and/or USC would push us up several places in the AVCA rankings. And as I said in the other volleyball thread, USC is very vulnerable this year. There's parity everywhere, and we can really take this opportunity to earn national respect.

Okay. I was going to do the play-by-play for each game, but apparently this forum has a very low daily post limit for non-paying members. Guess I'll get my Aggie vball information elsewhere...

wannaggie, you have a 5 post per day limit as a rookie, once you get past 30 career posts, that goes away. it has nothing to do with whether or not you pay.

When it told me I had reached my maximum daily limit of 5 posts per day, it informed me that once I had posted 30 comments, I would then be allowed 10 ppd. It didn't give me any information on post limits above that amount.
10 ppd is insufficient for fast-action sports like basketball, baseball, and volleyball.
Of course, the basketball/baseball program at most schools generally receive generous coverage. When you have access to a live video/audio feed, donating your time to post play-by-play on vball fan sites is a common courtesy to other unconnected fans because of the poor media coverage.

While I'm on the subject, when I received that message, I attempted to find out just what the limits were. But I currently am unable to find any "help" or "about this forum" link which would explain this site's rules, limits, membership levels, history, etc., I just assumed it was something you had to pay for.

I've been lurking here for a couple years, but never really paid attention to the configuration until I created an account early this summer.

If you click on the "R" next to your username (or the "H" next to mine for that matter ) it will take you to a link showing the different distinctions for different numbers of posts. Not sure about the post limits. I am pretty sure they stop completely once you get to verteran.

I clicked through every link on the menu at the top and was stymied by the lack of a simple "Help" page. I hadn't thought of the help page as being an "Announcement", LOL.
