i've been to Indy, but never seen F-1 there, and would love to. that must have cost you a pretty nickel for the ticket.
i really enjoy Speed Channel's coverage of the season...amazing hi-tech stuff. for cars that are so fragile, it's amazing a person can walk away from a totally demolished car.
and it's cool that they race, rain or shine.

Nope, I'm talking about F1. The races where they turn right and left, change gears, use brakes, Schumacher, Ferrari, Porche, etc.
They had race or two in Dallas in 1980s. I don't remember what years, too lazy to look it up right now. But it was a blast. I happened to be in Indy several years ago and went to a race. Also had a great time. Wasn't there for the fiasco this year. That might have soured me.
I've been to 2 F1 races, Monza in '94 and the 1st F1 race at Indy (2000, I believe). Had a blast at both, not so much because of the racing, but the crowds/atmosphere at both were fantastic.
Saying F1 is 10 times better than Nascar, is like saying soccer is 10 times better than the NFL, or vice versa. They are 2 totally different animals with their own pluses and minuses, but I happen to like both equally well.
