Good to see we still have some fight in us. Garey scored and two minutes later we put some pressure on. 20 minutes is still plenty of time, but I'm hoping there's a little urgency in our girls.

cant give up goals on counter attacks and penalty kicks on the road and expect to come out with wins. its gonna take more defense than that.

we cant expect to put up 3 goals every single road game we play in. we've given up 2 goals in all 3 of our big12 games so far

It's been a bad weekend for A&M sports. The chances of making it to the Final Four is about done now since you almost have to have a top 4 national seed in order to make it because all your games are at home then. We can't win on the road in the Elite 8.

Do we always play the long ball?
Seems like we were just booting it in there and crossing our fingers.

I guess we should just cancel the season, forgo the Big 12 championship that we are working on, and not worry about a run in the NCAA tourney.

It looks like this upcoming weekend is going to be a huge one to start separating the teams. All four teams ahead of us will either face us or face some tough teams we beat. With a strong weekend, we could move back into first place.

OU & OSU go up to play Mizzou & Kansas, two good teams we beat. Both are great at home too.

IowaSt. & NU come down to face us this weekend.

It is very difficult to win on the road in the Elite 8. History and odds are against us doint that. That is why it was so important to be at least the #4 national seed this year so would host an Elite 8 game. Unless a bunch of teams ahead of us in the rankings start losing, we're not going to be seeded very high. Today's loss put us in a hole.

Ironically, last year, if we had only gotten past Illinois we would have probably hosted an Elite 8 game because North Carolina was upset by Santa Clara. We were seeded higher, so we would have hosted that game, meaning we would have been in the Final Four last year.

Unfortunately, I think losing the Currie sisters probably made it too difficult for us to compete with the elite teams in the nation this year. Asking the team to beat a North Carolina, a Portland, or a UCLA team on the road in the Elite 8 is not realistic.

We didnt play illinois at home last year did we? I'm pretty sure it was an away game and maybe we were the "home" team.

A&M-Illinois was a home game. I was there.

4 or 5 tu guys were at the game wearing nothing but navy blue speedos. They were at the game 2 years ago, theonly other time we've lost this game. What a bunch of f-a-g-g-o-t-s

AggieGreg06, they're members our swim team, many of whom go to the Olympics (unlike your swim team). Glad you think so highly of the athletes who represent our country.

HiddenAg, don't count us out. I'd just refer you to the game at UCLA a couple years ago where they outshot us 21-0 but we still won in penalty kicks. So anything in possible, but I agree that it's certainly an uphill battle at this point. But the important thing is to keep moving forward and win the rest of our games. Right now it looks like the away series at OU & OSU will be the biggest one of the season.

HiddenAg, You must either be a relative to the Currie sisters or very short of faith of some fabulous players on the team.This group of players is capable of being competitive with any team, anywhere...and I'm sure you meant to say that.

I agree. The Curries were only freshman. If you think freshman are going to lead the team to the national title think again. They would help a lot, but they wouldn't make the ladies world beaters either.

this team is stacked with all americans. the currie twins were not going to be the deciding factor to take us all the way. this team minus the currie twins is far and away capable of playing with anyone in the nation... (and of course UNC's olympic team they have every year would be a tougher game )
