after the last two losses, i had given up my hope of this team realizing its potential and making a serious run at the college cup this year. i had decided to boycott the match because i couldn't stand to see another tough loss, but gametime is almost here and the reasons for me to get out to the pitch are quickly mounting.

1)none of my teams won yesterday, and i refuse to go through an entire weekend without one of my squads getting a W.

2)i feel like talking some **** from the bleachers, and nebraska provides a lot of opportunity. a quarter of their team is canadian, they have a girl whose first name is vern, and a girl whose last name is penas. and just a heads up, their keepers' names are jamie, brittany, and katie.

3)i have a grad midterm tomorrow. 50 multiple choice, 25 short answer, and an essay. i haven't started studying yet. I don't really want to start.

4)it's a beautiful day outside...no reason to waste it indoors.

5)unlike our football team, our other aggie teams never quit. our soccer girls are no exception. if they're gonna be out there, i'm gonna be out there too.

The one game I miss...

Inspired first half!

We cannot let down the second half, Nebraska has the ability to score some goals! The only thing impressive about NU so far is Timko's ability to manuver and be a threat on the counter.

So far with OkState, OU, and Nebraska losing it could be a drastic shake up in the standings after today!

According to the scoreboard...

Baylor beat ISU.
Kansas beat OU.
Mizzou beat OSU.

That means the standings will be:

KU, OU, NU, ISU: 10 pts
CU, A&M, UT: 9 pts
Mizzou: 8 pts
OSU: 6 pts
Baylor: 3 pts

Kat scores two more goals within three minutes of each other giving her a hat trick and us a 4-0 lead!

Aggies looked VERY GOOD out there today. Although they didn't seem to have as much control over the ball as they did in the ISU game (Nebraska was more aggressive), they finished their scoring strikes so much more efficiently. The NU goalie hadn't had anyone score against her in something like 400 minutes of play before the Ags got to her. She looked gooooooood, for a time, at least.

Way to go, Ags!

The only real difference between today and Friday night against Iowa State is that we finished our opportunities in front of the goal. Krambeer was very good today and to be honest should be starting opposite Garey.

I really think Pistorious should be moved to a forward midfield position because of her great passing skills. She just doesn't seem quick enough up front to get shots off in the box. She's talented but I believe out of position.

A&M should win out from here and win the conference tournament. A&M is by far the most talented and best team in the Big 12. They dominate play in almost every conference game, and if they simply finish their chances like they did today, they should advance far in the NCAA tournament.

I hope far includes a trip to the College Cup.

They really played like they wanted it today. That is one problem with this team, sometimes they just seem to get in a funk and only get out of it by losing a game they should have won.

Great for them!!!!!! Got to keep playing totally tough from here on out. A super change of pace today.

Great response to the adversity they faced in the prior week. Way to step it up!

Pistorious is great where she is.....it was good to see her natural ability to score again in this game (hers was the game winner)...but it was her unselfish play that made it possible for Kat to score HER first goal of the game.

They are a TEAM, and they step up when another is in a funk. Good for them!

My Mistake: Pistorious assisted Krambeer's SECOND goal.

pistorious was the national leader among freshman in goals scored last year, and led the big12 overall. you can guess why garey is getting so many goals this year and why kat just had herself a hat trick. defenses are HAVING to key in on stopping pistorious from getting to or making things happen with the ball, which is freeing up plenty of scoring chances for our other players.

pistorious is right where we want her. just cause we lost the ISU game doesnt mean we didnt COMPLETELY dominate every aspect of the game (with the exception of the big one - goals scored)
