Okay guys. I'm sure you've all heard about what a tough time our girls are having. Well, tonight, they're playing Oklahoma. I just wanted to let everyone know that the game starts at 6 pm and G. Rollie and I'm really hoping everyone can make it out to support the girls. They need to know that their Aggies are there still backing them 100%. Then after that, you all can head over to the soccer complex for a little soccer action.

What was the yellow card that the Head ref guy showed the OU coach twice? I had never seen that in volleyball before. All that OU coach was doing with all his whining was getting the students more and more into the game.

Having Kendra back is big. She's a real leader and a very good middle blocker.

That ou coach had to have set a record for 'sit down bus driver'.

I've only seen a coach carded once before in volleyball and that was last year when Corbelli got carded. I can only assume that the cards work the same way they do in soccer. But I don't know for sure.

In volleyball, card sanctions can be assessed for many different reasons: physical or verbal misconduct, improper substitution/timeout requests, delay of game, etc...

Generally, a yellow card is only a warning and is the 1st ref's way of asserting his/her authority. Yellow cards are actually pretty common, being issued in maybe 20-40 percent of matches.

A red card indicates a more serious or repeated infraction, loss of rally (i.e. a point) is assessed against the offending team.

Red and yellow together in one hand is bad. Loss of rally is assessed and the offending team member is forced to the bench for that game or sometimes the coach is ejected from the game.

Red and yellow held apart is the supreme penalty. Loss of rally is assessed and the offending team member is ejected from the facility for the remainder of the match and is disqualified from participating in the team's next match.

ok what was the final total for 'sit down bus driver'? I left for the soccer game right after game two and it was at 5 or 6.
