It would be dumb to play them. They might not be up to par for playing even now. It is much better to redshirt them so they get 4 full years.

ya, definitely not smart to go and burn their redshirts for the postseason when we're not struggling for scoring and midfielders. only position id want someone great at right now is on the defense, and still wouldnt be worth burning a high school seniors (experience wise at this point) redshirt

Too bad one of our best defenders is out right now with an injury. Bad timing with the NCAAs starting. Maybe if we go deep into playoffs she can get back in the game.

Tough game vs SMU today. Its been a few years, but the ponies have beaten us at home at this round of the post season on at least a couple of occasions in the past.

Hope the team brings its A game today!

quote:
Two days after undergoing surgery on a broken leg, Krieger was on crutches on the Penn State bench during a 5-2 win over West Virginia on Sunday at Jeffrey Field.

The junior midfielder, who had started all 20 previous games and was third on the team's scoring list with seven goals and two assists, suffered multiple fractures to her leg during practice Wednesday.

She had taken a pass from a teammate during a drill and another teammate -- whom she declined to name -- tried to slide tackle. Krieger's leg got caught in the wet grass and the teammate fell on Krieger's leg.
