You Girls Rock!
(And you scared the socks off Penn State by scoring at all, much more by scoring first! Way to go!)

It was a good season, but we've been there, done that in the NCAA tourney. It's time to take the next step.

The bottom line is that we have to do better in the regular season to secure a 1 or 2 seed so these type of games are at home. Now, Penn State was clearly a better team than us, especially in the midfield, so we just have to improve in that area in order to compete at the elite level.

Hopefully the Currie sisters are as good as advertised and Coach G can go recruit some more great midfielders that can control the game against top competition.

This game was a good measuring stick for us as a program, and we now know we still have a long way to go to play for a national title. I really hope Coach G starts scheduling some elite teams on the road in the nonconference so we can be prepared for these type of games in the tourney.

I agree with the above post. We need to win those games against the Michigan States and the Iowa States to make sure we don't get a poor seed.

But overall, good season and I look forward to next year. It'll be interesting without Kati Jo in the net.

should be pretty easy for G to go out and get a stud freshman goalie this recruiting season, since KJ is done now. kinda like nebraska went out and got their high school all american freshman goalie jamie kleigis.

heres to lookin forward to more great seasons of aggie soccer!

the great thing about a program with a foundation like the one that G has built, is that when a season ends, we dont rebuild... we RELOAD! WHOOOP!

I don't see how a high seeding (home advantage) would overcome a 18-3 SOG deficit.

Just not in the same league as the top 5 teams yet.

No excuses please. We were simply outgunned. We just need to work on getting better and better.

Well it would help in the fact that we wouldn't have to play the #2 team in the nation as early on. If we win those games (the MSUs and ISUs) we probably get a national 8 seed.

But you're right, we still can't compete with the top tier teams yet. It just gets us a little further in the tourney, ideally.

It is hard to get a high seed (1-8) when you never play any Top 20 teams.
