A really good article talking about his life and his impact on the game here in the US during his time with the NASL. Most of the coverage regarding his life is coming from England and thus really only talks about his time with ManU. A great soccer player with a very sad life.

That's an understatement. The man had more sex and drank more alcohol then half of Ireland. Of course, it eventually led him to his relatively early death...

He was 5'-5".

I read that article Dre posted. Being an alcoholic in recovery I understand what that guy was going through as far as the booze is concerned. Now being able to bag any chick in the world is something foreign to me.

I saw a video of some of his soccer highlights yesterday. It was the first time I'd seen them and WOW. There was one at the very end where he dribbles some guy takes off his shoe and passes the ball off! It was amazing.

George Best was an amazing footballer. a rare player that comes around once or twice a lifetime. he will be missed.
