I don't have a TV at work. I think I'll consult BigSoccer.

Please don't put the US and the Netherlands in the same group...I think I'll be happy with pretty much anything else.

BBC just interviewed Marcus Hahnemann. One of the questions what whether he was disappointed not to be seeded. He said the only thing disappointing was that Mexico was seeded, "because they can't beat anyone unless it is in Mexico City."

Hilarious. Although, he admitted he had never even heard of Eddie Johnson until Johnson came in to the Trinidad game last year. I guess Marcus doesn't get to hear much about American soccer playing over in England.

I don't think we have the worst group, but it's pretty bad. I was hoping to be in that England group instead of Trinidad.

As predicted, Group C (where The Netherlands drew) is the toughest group.

..and that means our opening match is against the Czech Republic? Damn..

Mother ******! I said I wanted the chance to beat Italy and now I have it. I guess you better be careful of what you wish for. The US has by far the hardest group. As I was watching the draw, I said to myseld "Avoid C and E and we're good). ****! Argentina's group is probably next toughest but US got the "Group of Death"

Overall, I think we are in the strongest group. I wouldn't want to be in Serbia & Montenegro's place though.

At least we'll get to see the US play against some of the top teams. I can't wait!

Yes. More bad news is that even if we make it out of this group of death, we will probably have to play Brazil in the round of sixteen.

England looks to have a relatively soft road to start out with.

After all, IT IS the world cup so you have to play the best teams if you want to advance right!

Spain got the easiest freaking draw of all-time and they were easily the crappiest of the 8 top seeds. That should be us.

I just looked at the sites that the US would be playing. The US plays Italy in Kaiserslautern which is about an hour away from where I live. If they visit Ramstein I will definitely be there.

True, but unless the US advance by winning their group (highly unlikely) they'll be playing Brazil in the round of 16 (I mean, it's not like Brazil won't win their group). I'd take Mexico's group any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

On the plus side, if the US can make it to the second round out of this group (a group that I think every top seed not named Brazil would have a tough time in), then people will finally have to respect us. If we don't but at least show well, we can always blame the group

Every group other than C and E has two obvious teams that should advance without problems. I'm going to call it right now though...France doesn't get out of the 2nd round, even with their easy group. They are old, Switzerland already beat them in WCQ and South Korea wasn't just a product of being home team in 2002.
