Heerenveen are negotiating with MLS over a transfer fee for Michael Bradley and PSV are all over Lee Nguyen. Heerenveen aren't massive but I believe they are mid-table in the Eredivisie and I'm sure we all know the talent that PSV have.

In addition, Preston Zimmerman has signed with Hamburg giving both PSV and Hamburg two Americans each (if you count full teams and academies).

I don't want to see all the promising youngsters skip MLS entirely, but I think Zimmerman and Nguyen wouldn't have gotten much out of MLS anyway. Their talent is better spent in Europe.

Preston Zimmerman is one of the gayest looking people I have ever seen.

He would kick my arse at soccer, though.

I like what it says about how US soccer has progressed, but I can't wait for the day that MLS has enough money to keep our best players at home.

This sucks for MLS soccer but is great for US soccer. i like that many of our players are playing over in Europe against the great talent, getting a feel for what they will be facing in the World Cup. I hope one day that the MLS will have some of the worlds greater players, but until that day, im glad that some of our American lads are playing in Europe against the best.
