I don't understand that Texas ranking without Osterman. Yes they made it to the WCWS last year and we didn't (due to the Scarborough and McDonald injuries) but now they've lost their dominating pitcher who was the only thing that kept them in most games.

NO

t.u. without Cat Osterman would not even be close to being in the Top 25. The year she took off for the Olympics, t.u. finished last in the Big 12........

Sips hired a batting coach and many think he will be a big help to them in generating runs. We shall see.

Softball catcher Megan Willis suspended indefinitely


AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas junior softball catcher Megan Willis has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to Texas softball head coach Connie Clark.

Willis (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) has been UT's starting catcher the last two years. She earned 2005 All-Big 12 honors as the 49-13 Longhorns won the Big 12 Tournament title and advanced to the Women's College World Series.

1. tu hitting coach--got to hand it to those guys. They see A&M (or anyone else for that matter) having success at something so they spend the money to copy it. That's one of the benefits of a large athletic budget.

2. Megan Willis--Watching tu on tv will be less enjoyable without Megan Willis.

hmmm, Willis may be a rather significant loss for the horns. The question is whether or not UT recruited any new hitters. If they just return the same ol' ones, there won't be that much change.

Willis has a large effect on Cat...she called all 6 of cat's no hitters and from some girls on the team have said, she makes a big difference in success of their pitchers...so im thinking this is a very good thing that shes gone...she is not considered a great hitter, but is a great defensive catcher
