Ummm, if you go off of historic medal counts by the US, you'd have to say this is one of the best ever. I'd argue that it was the best ever, esp. considering the number of golds, and over all medals. Only down side is B. Miller getting hyped too much. Mens Curling, Womens Hockey, Tobe Dawson, All the Snowboarders, Lindsey Jacobellis, Apollo, Joey Cheeks, Shani Davis, Chad Rad Hendrick, Tim Liggity, Sasha, Ice Dance Team, etc. etc... then to mention all of the close forth and fifth places we got...
With the exception of NBC's terrible coverage, this was the best EVER. You just have to keep in mind that the media pushes certain people (Bode Miller) and stories (Shani vs. Chad) just for cheap press, nothing more. Take out that stuff out and the actual 'body' of this years winter olympics was very inspiring and overall historic...
ps- Joey Cheeks gets to carry the US flag at closing ceremonies (One Gold/One Silver in long speed skate). Very deserving; he was the athlete that donated his gold medal bonus money ($25,000.00) to a youth help charity. Class act from a great American.
