Left on the bench again against Wigan. I understand Saha has been lighting it up recently and you certainly do not bench Rooney, but do you put Saha out there over RVN? Is Ferguson shopping one of them? Surely not RVN.

Seems to be some mulling around that he may leave and aparently AC Milan is keeping their eyes open for him...

I think it has to do with his age but RVN was never one with breathtaking pace. He scores by getting in that box and making space. He can do that for the next couple of years.

totally...he has a nack for finding the ball in the box...if he didnt score large quantities of goals every year I would proclaim him the luckiest striker on the planet due to the amount of wide open nets and free balls he gets to hammer away...I personally like him and think ManU would be stupid to let him go, but they have to blaim thier less than steller results on someone so they chose him rather than blaiming thier sub-par holding midfield

Well, they did but he was pissed being left off for the Carling Cup final and this was not a good signal to leave him off the next match.

they won without starting him but they brought him in when they were a goal down...he proceeded to get an assist which may have been an accident and he was set to hammer the game winning goal home if it wasnt an own goal...it was actually pretty interesting because the brought him in with saha and moved rooney back to a midfielder, they had fantastic flow and ball movement

Which Ferguson said he would not do because he wants to use the entire width of the pitch and feels that with the 3 of them in there at the same time it will contract things toward the goal.

well I think he is underestimating rooney...he put rooney at left wing it looked like and he made a couple of very good defensive plays....you could put that kid anywhere on the field and he will play it to perfection...he had a beautiful cross field diagonal pass that led to the game winner

Rooney, if he stays off the booze and the broads, will be world class like many have not seen for years. However, it is skeptical if he will.
