Because I'm going to Germany this summer and I don't.

The official World Cup site is showing that there are no more tickets available. How can I get tickets?! Thanks for any help.

I just found out last week that I had been accepted into the German internship I applied to.

WC tickets for Germany are hard to come by. Most American fans who want to go do not have tickets--and I'm talking about people that have been to previous World Cups and have had their name in the ticket drawings at every stage of ticket sales, starting in February 2005.

Since you're going to be in Germany anyway, make sure that they're not enforcing the ID checks and try to buy scalped tickets if you're willing to pay for them. You should be able to buy tickets for some of the less prestigious matchups without too much trouble. If you really want to see the U.S., the Ghana game is your best bet. US/Italy tickets are almost impossible to come by and US/Czech Republic ticket demand is also very high.

There are also some on-line ticket brokers who will sell you a package at exorbitant prices. I'm not sure how (or if) they guarantee that you'll be able to get in, though.

Of course, a few people have reportedly been hooked up by friends who work for a sponsor company.

That is the right attitude, in 1994 I went to a game in Dallas and had an incredible time, the atmosphere was amazing...and that was in the US..I can just imagine what it would be like in Europe.

The game I went to was something like Norway vs Saudia Arabia...I have the WC game guide still..but I remember that there was a big group of Mexican fans playing their drums and trumpets and waving their flags and they weren't even playing! Fans from all different countries wearing their colors...just a great party atmosphere. Good luck man!

That was Sweden vs. Saudi Arabia. I remember that because we were surrounded by Swedish fans with their faces painted, who taught us a few swear words in Swedish. Sweden won 3-1. Great game to be at.

My team won the indoor soccer intramural crown at A&M last year, but I don't have $53 or the time to participate in a tournament. Hopefully someone else finds that useful...
