Pedalata De Rosa (Century - 100 Mi: sponsored by De Rosa bicycles): Enjoy 30 miles of scenic views as one rides toward Canyon Lake before turning south to fly down Krueger Canyon and head toward McQueeney and 30 more miles of flat country around New Berlin.
Michelin Metric Century (100 K - really 65 mi: sponsored by Michelin Tires): The first 16+ miles takes you on a tour of the rollers around Krueger Canyon before crossing I-35 and traveling the little traveled country roads toward New Berlin.
38 Mi: Roll out by way of Krueger Canyon and roll back by way of Green Valley Rd.
23 Mi (Out & Back): Travel along Old Nacogdoches for a flat out and back.
Fiesta Wildflower Duathlon: The Duathlon will be for youth ages 7-10, 11-14, and 15-17. Distances will be within the guidelines set for USAT triathlons.
Prologue Time Trial: This USCF event will be short and fast. Bring all you got to race against San Antonio's finest and fastest. This a 5K flat out and back.
Bike Rodeo: On Saturday there will be a Bike Rodeo for children ages 5-12. The rodeo will follow the same format as the school bike rodeos, but it will be SUPERSIZED!! To get your prize for this event you must handle your bike with real confidence. Plan on joining Regency PTA at 10:00 on Saturday for this event in the parking lot at Verizon. Pre Ride Dinner: Papa John’s Pizza will be available for $5.00 in the VIP Club from 5-7pm. All athletes and your guests are welcome.
Fitness Expo: The Fiesta Wildflower Weekend opens on Friday with the Health and Fitness Expo being open from 2:00-7:00pm at the Verizon Wireless VIP Club. The Fitness Expo will continue from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. This Expo is designed for all ages. Novice to elite cyclists will be able to learn more about their sport from the many vendors that will be available to cater to all their needs. Health care providers will also be available to conduct cholesterol checks along with other physical tests. The list of vendors, demonstrations and activities will be changing, so keep checking.
