I've enjoyed watching that for about a decade now and it never gets old.

I was watching an old match from Feb. between ManU and Fulman and McBride looked great out there. Bocanegra looked lost. A kid I had never heard of before named Ronaldo, from Portugal, looked brillant. And the kid is only 20! Can't wait for the World Cup. I will not be sleeping a lick.

yeah tool, I knew who he was talking about. Speaking of Ronaldo (Brazil), have you seen him lately? He looks like he is getting a little old and hefty.

He also isn't 100% healthy. Apparently there is some concern he could miss some time for the WC. There's also been substantial rumors that he wants to leave Real for Qatar or NYRB...I'll believe it when I see it.

And to not derail this thread completely, McBride is one of the better aerial players in the world in my opinion. Voted Player of the Year for Fulham last season. If he scores in Germany, he'll be the first American to score in 3 World Cups. In fact, right now he's the only American to have scored in 2.

McBride is definitely excellent in the air. That's one of the reasons I was so happy to see Convey's great crossing yesterday. I'll probably get called on this, but I actually think Boca is our second-best header threat on corner kicks. He just always seems to be right in there.

Conveys pace and wing play yesterday really impressed me. i admit i havent seen enough of him play, but what i had seen until then i was never really impressed, so its obvious he is stepping up his game. with mcbride's ability to get up that should provide a great combo and scoring option during the WC.

its not so much that he is from and plays for Portugal, it has more to do with his club team being one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) in World soccer. He made quite a splash years ago when he made the team as a teenager cause of his potential and now that ManU has got him to use less of his footwork I think you will see alot more "genius" out of him. He could be the next 'Dinho when he gets to his age IMHO.

another player from Portugal? I think there is this guy named Figo. Not sure but i think he did alright on the world stage...

Call it elitist if you like, but if you'd paid attention to world soccer at any time during the past three years, it would have been impossible not to hear C. Ronaldo's name. And if you have not paid any attention at all, then you assume the risk of sounding foolish by telling us all what we already know.
