Lacrosse is growing out West too. Colorado has a two pro franchises, as well as California. All big schools west of the Appalachians play in the US Lacrosse Intercollegiate league, i.e. Texas A&M and Texas, and their championships were held this year in Dallas. 5,000 fans in Dallas watched Colorado State defeat Colorado in the championship game.

Men's DI Lacrosse Championship is the highest attended championship weekend outside of Men's Hoops.

Oh, and by the way, 15,000 tickets have already been sold for next year's championship event held in Baltimore.

Dallas has a good shot at securing a pro team in 2008's planned MLL expansion. If so, count me in on a couple of season tickets.

Lacrosse is really growing in texas, and that is a great thing to see. I played in high school, college, and now play club lacrosse in Dallas. Finally the sport has grown to the point where we do not have to describe the sport to eveyone i meet, because enough texans have seen and/or played. We have texas high school products at the highest levels of the game, and hopefully that will continue to spur the developement of the sport.
