6-0 versus jamaica...lampard, hat trick by crouch, owen and an own goal. Beckham looked amazing again pouring in perfect cross after perfect cross...

The team looked amazing, but I know jamaica isnt the greatest team on the planet. They shared the ball, made quality passes and just dominated the game. They look to be in great form.

By the way, I think the last person to score a hat trick on jamaica was eddie johnson

that is what we should have done to Morocco. the talent gap between England and Jamaica is alot like the gap between us and Morocco, but the result was totally different. Thus the reason for reserved enthusiasm for this WC.

I'd say that Morocco is better than Jamaica but we still should have beaten them.

If it makes you feel any better, the US beat Jamaica 5-0 at home and that was during a qualifer so both teams actually cared about that game.

Crouch should have had 4 but he missed a PK.

These warmup games mean very little. It's exciting to see your team play well but a poor performance means nothing.

poor performance does mean something. the fact that we (US) lost to morocco and struggled with latvia means that we might not do so hot especially considering our draw. We should have stomped both those teams in the ground.

If you look at not only the group England got into but also the way the knock out stages are set up, it is conceivable for England to waltz into the finals. Of course Brazil will kick the ever loving crap out of them when they get there but that is beside the point. The real question is how much weight will Ronaldo gain after this world cup?

No it doesnt.

Arena confirmed what the players have been saying all along.....that they were trained to death. They were exhausted, and he did it to them on purpose. Now all he's been doing is working on the technical aspects of the matchups.

During the warm-ups, coaches tinker with line-ups, save players, try different schemes, etc.

I have no idea how the US is going to fare in Germany, but I do know that these matches meant nothing.
