This from my FC Dallas contact (an Ag grad):
Pizza Hut Park is definitely the place to be to watch the World Cup this summer - er, later this week!
Check out all the cool stuff that will be going on, along with some important notes about the games that will be going on for a month of the best soccer around.
Just a few notes about what will be available via the Verizon Wireless Club watching parties:
Admission is free*.
Parking is free* (non-event days)
(*) See below about the only exception, June 18.
Free Krispy Kreme donuts, pretzels and popcorn with an additional breakfast buffet ($9.95) and complete lunch menu.
Free wireless connection to the internet.
Business Center: With games happening during business hours, a business center will be set up for people looking to work while they watch the games. Along with free wireless internet access, the Business Center will provide free access to printers, fax machines, copiers, and supplies.
World Cup Viewing Season Pass: Fans can purchase a limited-edition Pizza Hut Park World Cup Viewing Party Commemorative 24-ounce Porcelain Beer Stein ($100) which will serve as a season pass and provide one free beer during every day of the World Cup viewing parties. The steins, which are not necessary for admission, will be numbered and can be hung at the Verizon Wireless bar for daily access. The steins can be reserved beginning today by calling the FCD office at 888-FCD-GOAL.
(So basically, pay one $100 fee, get the Stein, and have 24 ounces of beer waiting for you every day of the World Cup. That's a lot of beer!)
World Cup updates, including game-day rosters, group standings, news, and information.
Fun, interactive competitions that keep fans connected to every team.
Special prizes to be awarded.
*Sunday, June 18th (Admission to the Verizon Wireless Club is free with ticket to Edgefest concert; parking is additional)
