Jeff was recently ranked in Golf magazine as a member of the top 10 to never win a major... He has done a lot for the university, and for the Golf program at A&M... he's a good guy. Do you think that he'll ever wina big one?
No. He is just not a guy who wins a lot (3 wins in 400 events). It would be great if he did but now his age and lack of power off the tee work against him, especially in the majors. However, any guy who has been on the Presidents Cup (once) and Ryder Cup (3 times) teams is pretty dang solid player in my book.
If he were to win anywhere it would probably be at the US Open, where he has several top ten finishes and seems to have the game for those types of course setups.
Also, Jeff Sluman was the Jeff who won the PGA, not Maggert. For some reason, Maggert hasn't been able to make the cut often lately at the PGA.
He did have a chance at the Masters in '03 but had his ball hit him after ricocheting off a bunker lip. A two stroke penalty which dropped him out of the Sunday lead.

I remember that shot from '03... that was a tough bounce.
I remember the Golf KINE199 class where we all hit Ping irons that Ping gave to A&M for Jeff playing in the Ryder Cup (or something equally significant)
he had some BAD luck in the masters a couple years ago. I think he has a chance. He has the best attitude on tour, and if things go his way, he might just get one. Lets hope he does. I love the guy!
