I just don't think it fits in the MLS who are trying to grow a fan base, and the youth soccer teams in the US are one of the prime targets.
Agree with the second part, don't agree with the first. Right now, MLS needs every type of soccer fan to grow it's fanbase, not just the youth soccer teams or the diehards. If it ever gets to the point where demand for the game is so high that they are turning people away, then they can start picking the type of fan they want but $15 from a soccer mom is the same as $15 from a 20 something who likes to throw around four letter words. They can get them all if they are smart about it.

The chants certainly don't bother me any, I just know I was sitting near a lot of kids the other night.
That's cool...I only mentioned it because many people who come to the game for the first time don't realize that 213 can be R rated at times...actually it's R rated most of the time. That leads to problems when a family with small children, or someone who is bothered by that language sits in 212.

At halftime we moved from our mid-field seats to Section 212 so that we could not only hear the chants, but to also feel them.
My daughter is hooked, we will be driving an hour and a half again this weekend to watch the game.
That's great to hear. Here's hoping you don't have to dodge lightning bolts again to get there.
