Where are all the Dynamo fans now?

FC Dallas has a seven point lead on Houston and are 6 points from DC United. Like I said, y'all might get the cannon, but not the division. We already have the Rio Grande Plate and the Brimstone Cup. After we beat Houston in the US Open, we'll be one step closer to that. Is a US Open, Supporters Shield, and MLS Cup sweep in the works? Not for y'all that's for sure.

Naw, DC had one game where the ref decided to end their unbeaten run and gave 2 PKs in the last 5 min of the game. If anyone sweeps, it will be DC (though i dont think anyone will get a domestic treble anytime soon)

Sure are confident for a team that has historically sucked in the second half of the season and still hasn't actually beaten the Dynamo. See you at Robertson August 12th.

Look at all the injuries we've been having lately, and we're still dominating. After the break when were healthy, we'll be unstoppable.

I might be going to the game August 12. I can't wait (did I really just say that about an MLS game?)

And Dre,"still hasn't actually beaten the Dynamo"? Yeah, your current series lead sure is insurmountable.

I am just glad that bird used the winky face because deep inside he knows that Houston will beat dallass like a rented mule. keep your brimstone cup (is that coffee cup? fill it to the rim with the richness of brim)I hope you can proudly display that trophy as it will be the only thing you are going to win.

You know bk, I find your mockery of the Brimstone Cup kind of humorous since you've spent the last couple months hyping up this cannon for a rivalry which is currently a grand total of 2 games old.

FC Dallas has a rival. That rival is Chicago, always has been, always will be.

With Houston, I'm ust trying to stir up some $#!+. Although with them taking an early lead in the series, combined with us winning the division, and a well timed US Open game, it may well be on its way to a full rivalry. But as of right now, Chicago = tu and Houston = Tceh (wishing we would accept their attempts to be our rival, but still just second class).

if by letting people know about the cannon in two posts on texags = hyping cannon over a few months then you are right.

as for your entire post bird, you better check yourself if you don't think the Dallas and Houston games are not a rivalry. So what if you have been a mediocre team for the last 10 years. You claim you have this giant rivalry with Chicago because both of your names (used to) have fire in them.

yes it may be early, only 2 games, but the Dallas and Houston rivalry will far surpass that of fire and burn. infact, does the brimstone cup have any meaning anymore since you are not the burn?

I know you know I am right. You hate it now that there is a better team in town and a new rival.

The rivalry between Dallas and Chicago is a little more involved than just the name thing. Originally, Chicago was supposed to be one of the founding franchises of MLS before they were dropped and replaced by Dallas. I have no doubt that Houston and Dallas will be a big rivalry, but the whole putting down the Dallas-Chicago rivalry while making a big deal of Houston-Dallas seems a bit pointless.

I'm not that big of an MLS fan, but I hope FC Dallas wins, and if not them, Houston.

I am just picking on everyone. Like saying that t.u. has rings for being the state champs of Texas.

trust me, in talking with the players, this Dallas and Houston rivalry will blow away the old San Jose and LA rivalry and I assume the same thing for the Burn and Fire rivalry.

Look at all the players that weren't injured when you played Houston and you still didn't beat them.

Well, if a 7 point lead with half the season to go (more or less) is insurmountable then so is our lead in the head-to-head.

No doubt that Chicago and Dallas will always be rivals but the shear fact it's Houston/Dallas will eventually make that rivalry mean more to Dallas fans. I'd give it a year...two max, just because they play each other so frequently. I mean when you take into account the fact they play 4 times a year at the least and will likely play each other pretty frequently in the playoffs..well, there are a lot of games that will played that will have a lot riding on them. Rivalries are born out of games with meaning and the fact of the matter is, Houston and Dallas will play a lot more games that have meaning to both teams than Chicago and Dallas will in the coming years.

To me and many other FC Dallas fans the Dallas-Chicago rivalry is a very big deal, in fact, the biggest. They were our only rival for years, and if you've ever met a fire fan then you know how big of jerks they are. They're down playing the rivalry right now because we've dominated it last few years, but next time they win it, they will rub our noses in it BIGTIME.

FC vs. Fire has been the only rivalry for YEARS, but now that Houston comes along, they're more important? I guess all that emotion and energy we've (the fans) been putting into it season after season no longer means anything. I guess we (fire and FC fans alike) should just forget all that and put it on the back-burner 'cus these new Houston upstart fans come along?

With that type of arrogance, maybe Houston fans ARE more like tu than I gave them credit for.

I have no doubt that Houston vs. FC Dallas will be bigger in the near future, but for now, I can't forget the history and importance of the Fire and the Brimstone Cup. Chicago is for the time being still more important.

See my point?

Yes. In fact, I see it so much that I essentially said the exact same thing as you except I focused on the fact that Houston/Dallas will probably be bigger in a few years and you focused on the fact that Chicago/Dallas is bigger now. Who said that it wasn't? I know that I didn't. But thanks for this little gem...nice, classy touch.

Let FCD have Chicago as their rival.

We win the MLS Cup this year and bring it to Houston.

Then let the rivalries start as they may.
