Yeah, they might want to reconsider that move. Chelsea is built on defense. Score early and then send everyone deep. Anytime someone gets deep into your territory clear the ball as far as you can and let the next attack commence.
It was disappointing, but I was expecting a couple of these as the team works out some kinks. I'd be more worried if this was at home. I will say that Chelsea always seems to be lax if they have a lead, and from about the 60th minute to the 80th minute I always hold my breath.
But I'm still not worried unless they're still dropping matches like this in October.
Yeah, I wouldn't be worried if I was a Chelsea fan. Beginning of the season after a World Cup...I mean even Mourinho and Lampard said it could take a while to get everything going (although I did think they were just displaying some gamesmanship) Still though, I did think it means anything yet.
They definitely need to get the back line shored up. I was glad to see Sheva score. The offense showed some real sparks, even with Ballack out, but the defense needs get organized quick. John Terry is great, but he can't stop everyone alone.
