Pigeon. I did not figure we would beat Mizzou or KU, but I certainly didn't think we would lose to ou. Thought we would be 1-2 right now.

Maximus. I never said anything about firing Corbelli. Don't know how you read that from my saying, "groan" because we were 0-2.

I know we are a very young team and I don't expect them to play like an all senior squad. I think our girls will get better, over the course of the season.

We are probably not going to win matches against ku, mizzou, tu and nebraska and maybe not even k-state, but I think we ought to beat tech, okie state and baylor; hopefully colorado, too. It's going to be a tough season because the girls are so young, which I lament because I want them to be successful and win, but I never intimated firing Corbelli. Sorry you read that into what I said and if anyone else did also.

The "fire Corbelli" thing was probably a generic remark - not necessarily meant for you - that rumor was certainly circulating last year. Now adays - if a coach is not on the "national championship track" - then its off with their head - Byrne will get someone who promises a championship.

At the KU game - we had 5'6" freshman setter running the show. Courtnee is a pretty athletic kid - I would like to have seen the game. According to the PR - Meagan didn't even go on the trip (illness).
I noticed Jen Moore only played one game and didn't accumulate any other stats - not sure what happened there?

B12 volleyball is a lot tougher this year top to bottom - and we will have our hands full. I think outside of texas and nebraska - any other team is beatable - but it won't be easy.

The texas/nebraska match is going to be verry interesting.

It'll be a long season looking at the win-loss column, but it will still be fun and interesting to watch these girls progress.

KVK, wasn't talking to you, actually. I was taking a shot at the idiot who was saying "cue the apologists." He posted elsewhere that Corbelli would be gone after the end of the year, which is absolute crap. Sorry for the mixup.
