Anyone have any expectations/guesses as to what might happen this week?

Mizzou is going to prep again just like they did last year, because they "get off" to their dual with A&M. I think that this new class can handle it, but they came on strong last year, with their new pool, they are getting faster and faster.

I am expecting some impressive times from both sides of our squads, the older guys will show the maturity they have gained, and the younger ones, are not quite that young, and will show it in the pool.

I expect the girls to make a statement - that they will thrash Texas at the Big12s!

Texas will once again thrash everyone in men's - without trying particularly hard.

women got 1st, men got 2nd

The women thrashed Texas. The gap between 1st and 2nd in many of the races was impressive. I predict NOW that the women beat Texas the Big12s for the first time in history!

The Texas men trounced us. They have some unbelievable freestylers. Look at the 800 free relay.

wow!!! they went 16 for 16 on relays against Texas!!! that is unbelievable!!! I cannot fathom how A&M won a breaststroke relay against the girls Texas has...Atkinson must be a miracle worker!!!

Too bad the results didn't include splits. Can't tell who swam what times.

But I agree winning breastroke relays against Texas is something. Brackins has to be preparing her boss right now to lose at Big12s!

The press release says the 300 yard breaststroke relay was won by disqualification, so someone on texas must have gotten dq'ed (left early or did an illegal pullout or something). I was pretty shocked by the outcome too, but it sounds like the women have a very special team!

The splits show how strong our women freestylers are. Look at the 4x100 and 4x200 free relays.

Atkinson is just a tremendous asset already. She split faster than Texas' Tinnon in the relays. It looks like Atkinson is already one of the 4 fastest 50 free swimmers. She beat Aljan in the tri-meet after the relay meet.

I was also impressed with Sturdy's relay splits. She's good very good speed right now.

On the men's side Israel Duran looks very impressive.

Why Jedi?

because its the most unique fly i've seen in a while. You'll see next weekend on Saturday.

I haven't seen it - but his 200 fly is already faster than the fastest Aggie last year.
