I see where the Ags are playing in the Collegiate Match Play Tourny at Colonial. Anybody get a chance to go? Too bad I didn't know about it yesterday, I'd love to check it out but I can't get away from work today (or tomorrow).

My son (13 yrs old) and I went yesterday. Watched the afternoon matches against Georgia. We had a great time. Got to talk to the golf coach for a few minutes. One of the players gave my son a golf ball. Needless to say, my son followed him the remainder of the afternoon.

Unfortunately, we tied Lamar today and they took the match win based on total number of holes won. We play for 3rd tomorrow morning.

I posted on the Metroplex forum before the event to try to call attention to it. Guess I should have hit this forum also. Sorry you missed it.

I see we beat up on Florida today to take 3rd. Not bad. It looks like this team has a real chance in the NCAAs.

Blanked 13th ranked team in the nation ASU, beat 4th ranked UGA, smoked #2 Florida...lost in a tie break to Lamar.

Very, very impressive. If Bronson doesn't go pro this team could be something special in the NCAA tourney.

Oklahoma St won it and their two best players were not even there. Pablo Martin and Jonathan Moore were playing in the World Amateur Team Championships. They also have a really good team.
