No, it wouldn't. Just because a coach recruited them doesn't make them servants of the coach. They came to A&M.
That's a nice sentiment but is not reality. Stanford, UCLA, Nebraska, are programs that recruit themselves and will always be destinations for the top recruits regardless of the head coach. For most of the 300 other Division I schools, there is very little to distinguish one school from another unless a potential recruit has a strong dedication to a specific academic discipline. Scholarship athletes are just like other students; they have an idea of what they want to do, but will probably change their minds at least once. They can major in "business management" or "kinesiology" or "communications" pretty much anywhere. They choose School A over School B because School A is close/away from their family, and the coach from School A made them feel comfortable with his/her personal style and he/she hinted that the recruit could get a lot of attention and playing time.
If a coach with a completely different personality and game plan comes in before a player's sophomore year, that player may no longer be a good fit for the coaching staff, and there are
many other schools out there with equivalent athletic facilities and academics but a coach more fitting to the player's personality.
Let me put it this way: if the Corbellis were fired, and in their place Byrne hired some yelling screaming slavedriving clipboard-throwing hothead like, say, Jerritt Elliott, would you still expect the Corbelli recruits to stay and have to go to every practice and suit up for every game and still only ride the bench for
three years because "they came to A&M"?

>>If she doesn't finish in the top 3 of the Big 12, out with her.<<
This theory is flawed. What if she finishes 4th, but doesn't make the tournament? She'd likely have a winning record and people would be on here saying, "you can't fire her now."
What I said is what I meant. She has no chance to be number 1 or number 2 next year - the Huskers and Horns are miles ahead of her - but many of the other Big 12 schools who leapfrogged us will be down next year, and if she can't finish third with more than a year of experience in the alleged #4 recruiting class in the nation, then that says all we need to know about the future. Anything less than third or another season that ends before December should be instant dismissal.
It still amazes me that the Corbellis produced Stacy Sykora, who went on to have a pro career in international leagues and be the libero for the USA National Team, yet in the last three years they have produced Aggie squads that had several big hitters standing around picking their noses because the first touch never got anywhere near the setter. I remember watching this program grow in the first ten years after Laurie and John came here, and I remember watching Aggie girls pass and dig the !@ out of big west coast hitters in pre- and post-season.
These days we can't even get the ball up against some nobody conference foes, much less "hang" with tough serves like Nebraska's. Here are some passing highlights from this season:
