The last post was the best....

Now they just need to beat SMU this weekend.

Agreed. A win over SMU will give them an undefeated dual meet record for the season. The only way the ags don't beat LSU, UNT, and Houston is if they don't show up at the pool.

The Miami times weren't too special but that's not expected. Codie's 1:50. 200 free was better than expected. Maybe she's getting back to where she wants to be. I'd sure like to see her consistently under 1:49 soon. SMU swam a high 1:49 against Georgia recently.

judging from the diary entries, it looks like they didn't take a single day off when they were in Miami...looks like they did lots of double workouts in addition to dryland stuff...

agreed, the 200 free was very nice for Hansen...solid time out of Erin Mahoney in that race too...anyone notice a new name in the results?...the third place breaststroker is not on the roster...is this a typo or ?

Notice that Hansen neg split the race? 55.11 1st 100 and 54.89 2nd 100.

Re: breaststroke - I assume you're talking about Durian? She's not on the roster so I don't know who she is. Maybe a Spring enrollment/transfer?

it looks like they put her on the roster this afternoon...and it says she beat Tara Kirk in the 200 breast at the world championships in 2005?!?!

Wow. 5th at the LC World Championships. Our breastsroke capabilities just went up in a big way - especially since she seems strongest in the 200. She wasn't fast in Miami in the 100. Maybe she hasn't been training much.

Looks like a fantastic addition to the roster.

too bad tara kirk doesn't have any LC american records, and certainly not the 200 breast. way to be misleading, SID.

The SID probably doesn't know the difference between SCM and LCM. Kirk does have the American SCM record for 200 breast.

Great addition to the team in any case. If Dulian was only 17-18 in 2005 when she swam in the Worlds.

heh i was mostly kidding of course - this is really exciting for the girls.

btw - i converted her SCM time to SCY, and although this can be a very unreliable process - it came up as a 2:08.34; less than a second off the NCAA record and more than a second faster than anyone in the country went last year.

Let's remember that she's a FRESHMAN....assuming we keep her (which our women's team seems exceptionally good at).

Alia is a freshman too - so we should be NCAA leaders in both the 100 and 200!!

from what i can figure,

this new girls 200 Breast would have won NCAA's Last year.
