Good Club but was way overpriced to start and it appears to be an 8.5 degree Head. Is that what you want?

Taylor-Made now has the TP which is still not discounted and is much easier to customize to your swing. Golfsmith has it for $599 and it has a much better shaft.

When the Ping G5 came out and became the number 1 rated driver by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine, it really hurt Taylor-Made since the G5 came out at only $299.

Also the Nike SasQuatch Driver is now accepted as a very good driver, not just because of Tiger Woods but because people finally were able to look beyond the look and size of the driver.

Cobra Last Year started discounting it drivers dramatically and they have been very popular with mid-range players. Taylor-Made has fallen behind because of their price and better products have come out. While still more PGA players use Taylor-Made it is more to do with them Paying the players to do so.

Callaway has followed others too and they are now producing lower cost drivers, sticking around the $299 range when possible.

Now the new 2007 models

Ping has the Rapture that is very hot for about $430 but I think it is ugly. I am going to stick with my G5 for now.

The New King Cobra HS9 Driver is making some waves and is at $399.00

Now Taylor-Made has the TP in the 460CC and 425cc for $599 and $799, personally I think it is stupid for anyone to pay full price, because they always have sales on the Taylor-Mades and the other brands are as good or better

But for the short answer, If you are happy with it, who gives a **** what anyone else thinks.

Golf is mental, if you think it is right for you, it is.

Well I'm actually left handed, so I got the 10.5 degree. I've heard nothing but good things and at 199 I couldn't pass it up.

I almost bought a clone r7 at 99, but upgraded to better grips and shafts which put it around 130. So I figure may as well get the real thing.

To be honest, I do not know much about customs like that

I have a friend in Newport Beach though, that sold his boat and all his bikes and boat equipment for a metal shop and is now just making his own putters mainly, but some of his own knock-offs.

He has put a ****load of money into and I have taken a few of his works out and pretty amazing. Now when I want a new shaft or anything like that, I take it to him.

He hit it big a few years ago and is a millionaire that just ****s around. If Discovery Channel did a show on him, kind of like American Chopper it would be golden. He and my other buddy Rocky are hilarious when they get togther and work in the shop.

The Cobra Speed series are very good drivers.
