In March!

against Tim Sylvia. Yikes.

I hope Couture shocks the world. Sylvia is a weak champ who fights not to lose.

It would be nice. Couture is one of my favorite fighters.

Although, its hard to say at this point what kind of champ Sylvia is. The HW division is so bad in UFC, he really hasn't been tested.

I would love nothing more than to see Sylvia throw one of those slow, roundhouse kicks and set up Couture's takedown perfectly for him.

Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Randy fan. He is probably my favorite fighter of all time, but Randy can't take Tim down. As much of a bore as Tim is, he has very good takedown defense. If Ricco couldn't take Tim down what makes you think Randy can? Now, as for Tim stinking and being a big bore, don't worry, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic will kick his head off in a few months.

I just think he can, but I didn't say it would be easy. A couple of points:

-Tim's takedown defense it good, but not great. I've heard people make the connection taht because Randy couldn't take down Chuck, he can't take down Tim. I just disagree. Chuck is extremely quick and very athletic...Tim isn't. Even at his age I think Randy will have a definite quickness advantage, especially if Tim overextends on a kick or punch. Perhaps I'm wrong.

-Monson is a slow 5'8" midget took Tim down on multiple occasions just 2 months ago. He just couldn't do any damage giving up that much of a reach.

-Regarding RR, he is known for being lazy and isn't disciplined at all. I'm not sure what happened almost 4 years ago (when Tim was on roids, no less), will have any bearing on what could happen with a completely different fighter in March.

Btw, have you seen this? I'm not sure when took place but RR looks terrible. It will take a while to load.

True on the roids and Ricco being a lazy sack these days, but I have a hard time seeing Randy have his way with Tim. If he does I'll be happy, but we shall see.

I guess Monson taking Tim down is probably what made Randy think he can win.

Did you watch that video? RR was around 330.

Ricco could still be a player in the HW division if he weren't such a tub of goo.

I agree. He wasn't even recognizable.

If you had him and CarrotTop standing next to each other and told me to "guess which one is Ricco", I'd say "neither."
