For those that don't know, Royal Links is based on the great British Open holes.
Things of note:
1. It is January and the rough and the deep rough are not completely out of control. I am sure that it gets much tougher in the summer when the grass gets higher. Fairways were green, but the rest was brown. Not in bad shape but just not as pretty as the pictures.
2. The greens were extremely fast. They must have cut them recently or that is something that changed over the last year. If you were not below the hole on your approach, a three put was very likely.
3. They have a very nice shuttle that take you to any hotel. Do not need to pay for a cab back.
4. The weather was perfect, 67 degrees, blue skies and light wind. Perfect for a guy in Denver tired of snow.
5. On the short par three, they have a hot chick that plays for UNLV challenge you for closest to the pin. If you bet a $100 and win, they double your amount in the pro shop, if you lose, you get to spend your $100 in the pro shop. So you cannot lose. She hit it into the bunker against me and ended up getting $200 in the pro shop.
