I am going to be in Atlanta soon and need a course in the Atlanta area and not more than an hour from the airport. Looking for something pretty nice.

Anyone have suggestions?

I heard East Lake and some course in the Augusta area are fairly nice.

I am in the Atlanta area but not a golfer. Most of the big time golf courses are on the north side of town while the airport is south. However, East Lake is Bobby Jones' golf course on the east side of Atlanta and probably a little pricey.

Contact Bill Benham at the Atlanta A&M club and I am sure he could help you out.

If you are talking about, Atlanta, Texas, then Indian Hill's is a good course, but it is only 9 holes, but the airport is really close.

Eagle's Landing in Stockbridge - about 15 minutes from the airport (South), home to the LPGA event here.

if you want immaculate golf courses, most are up north. I worked at capital city club crabapple in woodstock and it was a freaking hard course. unfortunately, it's very private.

canongate is a good course, southwest of the airport on 85. but don't waste your time with golf, drop $20 and go to the aquarium and fight off the bums on the way there.

We have pushed back the flight home and are going to play a course on the north side.

We are playing Lakemont and Stonemont at Stone Mountain. Supposed to be two pretty good tracks, Stonemont is at Robert Trent Jones track and Lakemont was written up in Golf Digest.
