Looks like we didn't quite hit the expectations for the women's indoor track team and the swimming team.

Letting Texas beat us in swimming really hurts - especially after our regular season and Big XII results. A top ten finish is great, but I doubt anyone on the team is happy with it.

Tough weekend for Aggie sports in general - except baseball so far.

I've got to drink more coffee to get out of my funk!

Who would've ever thought finishing 8th at NCAA's in women's swimming would be a let down...lol

They had a great season, earned a conference championship trophy and finished three spots higher than they ever have before...were it not for Texas' talented divers (all four scored at the meet), A&M would've beaten the Longhorns easily...I don't think nationals was much of a let down, if any...

How would being ranked 5th, beating Texas twice before NCAA's and then finishing 8th behind Texas not be a let down? I'm not saying they suck or that they haven't improved drastically - I'm just saying they didn't do as well as they were expected to. I bet the swimmers would agree.

I agree that there certainly was room to do better for sure but they still did pretty darn good...

...and the No. 5 ranking is a dual meet ranking -- not an indication of where they were expected to finish at NCAA's...we likely would have beaten some teams that were ahead of us at NCAA's in a dual meet (one of which we did easily -- Texas)

Agree- the swimmers are magnificent. We really got to get us some divers!

Lots of good, young talent on women's swim team, so the future is bright. It would get a whole lot brighter if we could get a couple of very good divers. We give away too many points in diving that great swimming has to overcome.

As far as women's track: yes, we had a rough weekend and did o.k. in some areas but came up way short in others. But you can mark my words, Coach Henry has that team turned around and headed for greatness!

I'm very optomistic about all our sports, especially womens' sports.
